ABOUT ROCA CAUS:
Roca Caus Ceramics is a family-owned and run workshop. They use centuries-old traditions, based on the manufacturing of the traditional Black Pitchers of Verdú. These traditions have been passed from parents to children. Dating back to the Medieval Times – before tap water – their technique is ancestral.
The pieces are fired in a “Moorish type” ceramic kiln (c. 1730) for approx. 50 hours. The passage of the flames creates uneven shades of beige and gray.
